Apple is 50 years old, and after a fun night of celebrations around the world, CEO Tim Cook sent out a memo to the company’s employees. In the memo, Cook echoes the ethos of Steve Jobs — which made Apple the titan of industry that it is today — and turns his attention towards the future, where much potential still remains untapped according to him.

When you grow up, you tend to get told that the world is the way it is. But life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. An immensely important milestone
Love it, hate it, or be indifferent to it, Apple is one of the most important companies in the world today. To have hit 50 years of continued growth, to continue influencing multiple industries to this extent, is an almost unthinkable achievement.
No one can really say whether Apple will hit 100 years, but I hope it does. It’d be nice to have a familiar logo to look back on and remember this time. Here’s to the next 50 years.
