Samsung reveals the manufacturing process behind the Galaxy Alpha

It could be just the first among a panoply of upcoming metal-clad Samsung devices, and Samsung surely seems proud of its Galaxy Alpha. Sammy's first metal-framed smartphone is a niche device that is intended to be a direct rival to the upcoming iPhone 6, however, it's highly unlikely that it will be able to stand up to Cupertino's device in terms of shipped units. Nevertheless, Samsung seems to be quite proud of its Galaxy Alpha.

The giant released some photos that give us some insight into the manufacturing process of said device. Unlike Apple, however, Samsung has not released a video of the process itself. Samsung brags that due to its metal frame, the Galaxy Alpha has successfully “outperformed” a slew of other Galaxy devices in a quality-control drop test, which is not surprising – after all, we are talking about metal here, folks. Samsung also says that its metal-clad iPhone rival has also performed quite well in similar durability tests. Not bad.
