New Asus Transformer Pad TF701T comes with Tegra 4 and ultra high-res display
Asus just made its New Asus Transformer Pad TF701T official, the first slate announced with a 1.9 GHz Tegra 4 processor. It is touted it as the world's fastest quad-core Cortex-A15 processor with 72-core GPU. In addition, you get 2 GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB onboard storage with microSDXC (tablet) & SDXC (dock) slots.

A 10.1" 2560x1600 pixels WQXGA IGZO IPS-LCD display is what you'll find on the tablet, like on the Google Nexus 10, making it only the second tablet panel with this incredibly high resolution. A 5 MP camera on the back of the metallic finish display part rounds up the great offering with 263 x 180.8 x 8.9mm dimensions and just 585g of weight, despite the metallic chassis.

There's the obligatory keyboard dock we are used to associate with the Transformer series of Asus, with a fast USB 3.0 port this time, and the powerful processor allows for a cool 4K video output via the HDMI port. An Asus rep has spilled the beans on pricing, saying that the tablet will cost around $399 on itself, while the docked combo will run you $499, which we have to see to believe when the new Transformer Pad TF701T launches in Q3.
