LG to let us play with its transparent phone tomorrow

We've seen it at MWC2009 as a concept, locked inside a glass case. Now, the LG GD900 comes one step closer to the market - the Korean manufacturer has showed some pictures of the handset and announced that it will be presented in detail at CTIA Wireless, which we will be covering live. We are, of course, mostly interested in the transparent, sliding keypad with touch-sensitive keys. An interesting fact is the presence of some sort of haptic feedback – a feature that is quickly becoming a standard for the touch-controlled mobile devices on the market.



Touch sensitivity, however, is not limited to the keypad - the phone has a 3" touch screen with WVGA (480x800) resolution and comes with LG's S-Class touch interface, first used in the LG ARENA. However, there is some vagueness on the details saying the handset will support multitouch and customisable gesture controls (for example, writing the letter M to access the media player) - it is not clear whether the gesture area would be the display or the keypad.

The best part is that the GD900 will be available in May, so it's not much longer until we have it in our pockets.
