So, the Google Pixel phones are
finally announced — Google's effort to enter the premium smartphone market with a device that is entirely its own. The handsets also have the price-tag to match their aspirations, starting at $650 for the base, 32 GB Pixel model.
Still, you can trust Good Guy Google to throw in a deal or two for its customers. Yesterday,
a leaked promo from Canadian carrier Rogers showed that customers that pre-order the device through the provider will also get 2 GB of bonus data, $50 of Google Play credit, and a free Chromecast. But fear not, the Canadians aren't the only ones who will be getting bargains.
Best Buy's offer for the Pixels is up, and it's not half bad. Pre-ordering, buying, and then activating a
Pixel or
Pixel XL on Verizon through Best Buy will net you a $100 gift card for the same store and you will get a free Chromecast to boot. No word on
a free Daydream View through this offer, though.
